What does Privacy and Trust look like in today's world?

Privacy advocates as well as environmentalist for example will say to strip metadata from photos to protect both yourself and the site of the photograph. But this also reduces our ability to validate authenticity.

Growing up I remember feeling Open Source and radical transparency were the most fundamental way to progress society. But how we do so when that very same transparency will so often be exploited?
