Just worked a really nice 65 degree pass of the #RS44 #Satellite. It's one of my favorite (linear) birds. I worked N9HF, ZF1SM, K2PLL, KB1HY, and WX5T, and had some nice conversations.

Worked ER1CW in Moldova 🇲🇩 (Gridsquare: KN47JA / distance: 4624.3 km) on #RS44 🛰️ using CW at 12:05 UTC 02/June/24 #hamr #cloudlog #amsat
Worked my farthest station via #satellite F1FPL on #rs44. He is 6679km away from me.
First test with headset. Signals were nice, despite strong interference from street led lamps. Thanks to @iw7dol @dk9jc and @F4EJLFlorent for QSO #rs44 #amsat

The Annual 13 Colonies Special Event

The Ham Radio Field Day event is underway!

The students of the Villanova University Amateur Radio Club are operating W3YP remotely over the internet.

So far, we have made some local 2m FM contacts and some satellite contacts 🛰️(FO-29). The upcoming RS-44 pass should be promising.

Overnight we may do some digital FT8 contacts on 20m band.

Wish us luck! 😁

Standing outside in the backyard in 45F weather in your pajamas holding a metal yagi antenna does not improve your #hamradio #satellite transmission power or skills, due to the numbness in your fingers and toes that ensues over 25 minutes. #RS44
