The EVE DEFCON talk is not the only update from @OpenResearchIns

ORI will present a full physical-to-application layer futureGEO #AMSAT design to the European Space Agency at Friedrichshafen this week.

This is a fully open source design, using modern methods and innovative solutions.

Far superior voice quality and no clunky second "packet mode" for data.

Thank you to everyone that has made this ambitious work possible and prototyped.

Just worked F6KRK in France (Gridsquare: JN18 / distance: 592.4 km) on RS-44 using FT4 #hamr #cloudlog #amsat #hamradio #amateurfunk
Hey walking #AMSAT knowledge-bases! In your personal experience, does a HT (say, a Kenwood TH-D75A) connected to a directional antenna have any hope of hitting AO-123 or SO-50?
Heard absolutely nothing from #AMSAT AO-91. Got the #ISS passing to my South in ~20min
I just tried to contact the #ISS using my home made #hamradio antenna. I heard others but it does not appear that I made it onto the #ham #repeater. Next pass will be higher. While I’m waiting I may try another #amsat to sharpen my skills.

I had fun at the #Hamvention conference last week. I was too busy at the AMSAT Education table to post, but I was showing off the CubeSat Simulator and talking satellites. 🛰️📡📻

This video of me is actually from two years ago ago, but I just found it 😁

Porbably #Mir cuz I had no idea what i was doing, and here was not much help back then.

Satellite ops — what's the coolest pass you've ever worked?
