A very popular option is #QubesOS for privacy. It's very popular among journalists and activists in dangerous situations. It was even endorsed by Edward Snowden IIRC.
But I heard that many prefer #secureblue since its more user-friendly and makes a smoother daily driver, though I can't vouch too hard for this since I've never given it a go.
#DiDay #DID #DigitalIndependenceDay #DUT #DUTgemacht #UnplugTrump
Success!
QubesOS is now on my laptop. All I need to do now is get stuff set up and my various configs imported. This is the fun bit!
Support has really gotten better for my hardware since I last tried to get it on my XPS 13!
Looking to see if QubesOS will install nicely on my XPS 13. For more info on what QubesOS is, check it out here: https://doc.qubes-os.org/en/latest/introduction/intro.html
There are reports that it kinda works on my device, and it would be really awesome if it did, as I could then use my laptop as a daily driver again.
If not, then I get to pick a Linux distro to put on it, and then go from there. Once I've got a good, functional device, I can look to rebuilding my office PC with qubes and a small windows partition for games.
For now: Backups.
I gotta make sure the laptop is backed up correctly before nuking. Ain't no way I'm getting burned this time!

We look forward to further exploring Qubes OS with you!
I've been using Qubes OS for over a month now
for everyday use, and honestly, I don't regret a thing.
It's been nine months since I left Windows and stopped relying heavily on Google and Microsoft, and I never imagined I would end up using Qubes OS, but since I started using it, I've seen more benefits than drawbacks.
For example, compartmentalizing my emails for different uses, school uses among others that I cannot mention due to the word limit.
I use Qubes BTW!!
#QubesOS reached "EOL" for R4.2. Get R4.3.0 RPM gpg key
into Dom0 without qubes-dist-update (which never was finished).
Otherwise, you can get the #Whonix Gateway and Workstation upgrade
with a fresh install.
Also of note, the #Kicksecure download page offers a range of #CPU Architectures.
How about a #RISC-V #IOMMU with Kicksecure and a #Rust environment? Might be pretty sweet.
