Recently released Quake Brutalist Jam III has 77 new maps plus new monsters, weapons and more -- it's designed to be played with Ironwail, a fork of GLQuake descendant QuakeSpasm (it also has native Linux support).

You'll need Quake from Steam (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2310/Quake) or GOG (https://www.gog.com/en/game/quake_the_offering) to play these maps, and this Slipseer post (https://www.slipseer.com/index.php?resources/quake-brutalist-jam-iii.549) tells you how to download/install everything.

Fully agree #quake #quakespasm #copper

A bit of #Quake before bed. #playonbsd #openbsd #quakespasm

@_xhr_ LOL! Thanks but I'm far from an expert. 😊 I am using #QuakeSpasm which is available as a package via pkg_add in #OpenBSD. Once you have that installed, copy the "id1" directory with the .pak files to your desired path or dropping the id1 directory to the default path for QuakeSpasm.

If you use your desired path location for id1 instead of the default, you have to run QuakeSpasm as follows...

quakespasm -basedir /desired/path/location/

Finally got #Quake running with #QuakeSpasm on my #OpenBSD machine. 👍 #playonbsd #runbsd
I also have the id1 directory on the #OpenBSD laptop, so I'll be testing on how to get it going on there using #Quakespasm.
