Alexchilly weekends at the studio ~ swipe to see some progress on a purpose built butter dish i'm making for my partner and I.
We needed something that would fit in our fridge door, that has low sides so the butter is easy to cut when opened and with handles so it is easy to lift the container out of the fridge door shelf ~ and voila this is what i came up with! Planning to keep the body of the dish in natural clay and to paint the handles a bright red, at least for now. This is one of the main reasons I love having a ceramics practice so much, i can purpose build all kinds of things i need for my home and have 100% control over the design and function.
