Gord made it to Calgary, ahead of schedule!
The #ProselytizingForPlushtodons prize for May now gets to join me for summer adventures in the #yyc area.
The June prize is still up for grabs. All you have to do is invite your elected representatives here, and report in the first week of July.
IMPORTANT - The contest rules have been updated recently so make sure you can commit to the new requirement.
All winners are required to post annoying quantities of cheesy and goofy photos of their Plushtodon doing boring everyday stuff. You must use the hastags #MastodonCanada AND #Plushtodons.

We need more Canadians to assist us in communication campaigns targeting your local politicians. Please boost these messages to help us increase participation.
After some quick calculations on a napkin with a Sharpie, here's how few are needed to make a difference. I used a cloth napkin and my wife was not impressed...
Assuming there are 10,000 active users in Canada (conservative IMO) and 5% of the #MastodonCanada community commits to sending 1 email per month.
The PlushPosse are hanging out together one last time before 1 member heads west to a new family. Harley will miss his little buddies because they loved feeding her dog treats, like 24/7...
The two remaining #Plushtodons are cheering on the #MastodonCanada community to get involved in contacting local politicians to convince them to jump on the Mastodon bandwagon. It's where the cool Canadians and dogs hang out.

There are still 2+ weeks left in June to qualify for a ##ProselytizingforPlushtodons prize. Just reach out to a local politician and ask them to join the #MastodonCanada community.

We have our 1st winner in our #ProselytizingforPlushtodons campaign! Congratulations to @ElwoodCity who targeted his local politicians in Calgary and also reached out to Naheed Nensh. He received a polite response from his local council member and is committed to following up with each of his targets. We also felt some pity because he's a Calgary Flames fan.

Our recent blog post could provide you with plenty of content that can be used in communication with your local elected representative. Start small - target 1 politician in your area - and begin an outreach campaign to convince them to join #Mastodon.
Remember, every small bit of activity qualifies you for our #ProselytizingforPlushtodons contest and a cuddly peach coloured #Plushtodon could soon be a new family member.
This #Plushtodon is ready to travel to a new family in the #MastodonCanada community. Our 1st #ProselytizingforPlushtodons contest winner will be announced later this week.
We were a little disappointed in the number of entries received for this contest - we may or may not have used a coin toss to decide the winner. Hopefully more of our Canadian community will get involved and make our job much more difficult at the end of this month.
