Hey, fellow sunny gardeners.
Remember me briefly posting stuff about some #ProjectHW prototype awhile back?

No? Well, that's alright - but the point is, that thing ended up merging with my childhood pet project that I could've cancelled due to burnout and a PTSD-induced mental breakdown.

So, now since I am happy with how it's been shaping up, I'd like to announce that my unconventional adventure horror game...

...ORMAGI PRESS! IS NOW OFFICIALLY IN DEVELOPMENT!
(otherwise known as no longer in the pre-production/prototyping phase)

...and I am making it for Windows and Linux PCs!

...and you can wishlist it on Steam. Starting today.

hell yeaaaaaa- i can finally stop being quiet about it on public social media

Been feeling like actually posting something gamedev adjacent recently, so... yeah, I am just gonna put a video on my personal account. Keeping the dev alias watermark, cos I am lazy.

But yeah, here's my [ #ProjectHW x @stramediagame merger reboot project (new name to be disclosed on formal (re)announcement) ] running on the Steam Deck... natively on Linux, too.

Most of the areas won't be showing up in the actual game, as they're test areas, but... hey, it's FUNCTIONAL so far. 🫠

The testing zone is looking less empty now.

Y'know, now that this game's essentially becoming something that could be used as a swell template base for the other thing, if I am satisfied with Project "H.W."'s structure, I miiight as well add this weird vitality system I have so been wanting to put in SOME game.

#gamedev

The whole #ProjectHW thing started in an attempt to restart another thing from scratch I have had going on since I was 14, but ended up putting it to the side recently, cos...

Frankly, I haven't been doing mentally well to try keep working on that thing after suffering a post-traumatic mental breakdown at work.
So, the other thing ended up being put on a hiatus, and right now, Project "HW"'s development serves me two purposes:

1) Keeping my brain warmed up and sharpening my low-poly modeling skills
2) Potentially writing a solid template I could use for the other thing, should I come back to it, so I don't have to rewrite a buncha shit and remodel shit from the ground up, and instead put that time into making newer stuff and presenting some kind of storytelling, idk

But I like where this is going, so I am not gonna stop now.

felt like making hand-drawn cursors.

(I should also remember to code a proper game manager and work on essential menus soon)
