The shortage of #profanities in English that aren't religious/religion-derived or racist or need cultural context can sometimes be rather frustrating. I get by some #SciFi #writers just give up and make up new ones.

A long, loong time ago I had an ex who wanted to convince me that women, me including, "shouldn't swear like a sailor". Wish I had this meme then.

On a more serious note, swearing is very important part of human language, it is meant to convey strong emotions. So it is better not to overuse it avoid losing its potency, but it can't and should't be eliminated from language entirely. And whenever a certain word/phrase is pushed out of use, another one steps in.
