@astian @[email protected] @brave Really hoping you guys will be the champion for #foss and #privacy what #Mozilla failed to be although I still support them monetarily.

Have you considered a paid #privateemail service with aliases to generate income? Something fully #interoperable not encrypted because that should be easily handled by apps like #DeltaChat, K-9, #Thunderbird, etc.

Have unlimited local storage on users devices instead of cloud? I don't mean right now... perhaps in the future?

I use multiple RBLs on my private mail server, one of which was https://www.spamhaus.org/ (specifically the "zen" blocklist), but they suddenly became way too aggressive and started blocking a bunch of legitimate email, so they are out now.

Are you missing a bunch of email in the last few days and are you using Spamhaus? Might want to check your logs.

I really, *really* want to like Proton mail but I just... can't. I know they have to find ways to pay their bills, but limiting things like labels smacks of "we couldn't figure out how to charge for added value, so we're going to introduce arbitrary limits instead"

Any recommendations for alternatives? Must be private, free (or free tier), and not just email - I'm looking for an *actual* replacement for Gmail, including managing my calendars and contacts.
