The clock tower over the entrance of the former Govan Poorhouse in Glasgow. Built in the 1870s to a design by James Thomson, it was later incorporated into the Southern General Hospital, and more recently the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

I've driven past this building many hundreds of times as I've gone in and out of the Clyde Tunnel, but until yesterday, I'd never known about its original purpose.
