Alright folks.. I have been trying to find something to solve a specific need i have for podcast listening.

Here's what I want. A dynamic playlist of ONLY the most recent episodes of a list of podcasts. Think, a morning news briefing. It could be, the latest episodes from the past 24 hours, or the latest episode, in sort of a stack, where the newest episode of one show pushes the last one of that show off the list.

IFTTT has a spotify integration that supposedly does this, but its inpredictable crap.

Spotify itself doesnt have this feature as far as i can tell.

I'd love to not have to depend on a 3rd party service for this if possible. So bonus points if I could leverage something like MusicAssistant.

I feel like I am not the only one with this desire. Why cant i find a solution?

Google Home has a daily news feature that does EXACTLY this, but i have several reasons that I want to get away from google home, and this is that one thing that I know i'll miss.

Lately, I have been noticing geolocation-specific ads in my podcasts on an android phone. Is this the client (antennapod) offering up my location, or entrepreneurial hustle from filehosting websites ?

Hi. I’m sure you’re already aware of it. The download buttons (WiFi; cellular) are very light. I deleted the download and then downloaded it again. (Bc country restrictions on downloads). iOS 18.5 overcast 2025.07 (1108). Did you get a visit from Alan Dye? 😀

I've not listened in ages because I've only been using #Spotify lately. #Spotify has the vital feature of being able to control it from any device and even more importantly, any tab.

Alternatively, can anyone suggest another #PodcastPlayer than can do that but doesn't have whatever problem makes you reluctant to use Spotify?

I have tab problems.
