Vraag: wat is een alternatief voor podcast? Open source, privacy vriendelijk, gebruiksvriendelijk, voor Android?
Heb Podcast.nl geprobeerd, maar deze stopt steeds bij het openen van een stream op mijn Fairphone 4 😟

So I really like Podcast Guru's app. I wanted to try it for a while. I became a VIP as well to get the cloud sync. But one thing it's lacking is a good website app player. It doesn't like the private feeds on the website. Oh well, I'm sure it's under development.

#TIL that you can subscribe to a Mastodon feed using an RSS reader, or even a podcast listening app like AntennaPod. Although that only shows OPs to the feed, not replies or comments. I'm not up on RSS readers and whether they can display fediverse threads.

Anyway, this is just another demonstration of a) the value of open standards, and b) the way different standards can be combined, forming a unified social media space with many ways in

Searched for a donation option for #AntennaPod (the best Android app for all my #podcast listening needs). It was sort of hidden and when I found it it said they didn't need much money and recommended donating to #podcasts instead or just helping with the app.

I did not know I love this app any more. I have to remember to promote it in my own podcast and I think my fellow #podcasters should do so as well. In a Spotify-world, apps like this are necessary to keep podcasting healthy.

Is there no “Play Playlist” or “Open Playlist” shortcut command for Apple’s Podcasts app?
