Happy Marine Corps birthday, Pops!
Today was always Pops' favorite day of the year, the Marine Corps birthday!
This is a day that's become pretty difficult for me as well, as I was always so excited to wake up and tell him happy birthday. His eyes would always light up and he would smile bigger than ever, year after year.
I miss that so much and I would give anything in the world to be able to hug him and tell him happy Marine Corps birthday just one more time!
He was always proud to have been in the Marines and to be a Marine for life.
I love you and miss you more than anything and I hope you have the happiest of Marine Corps birthdays today!

"Recent media coverage of substances such as PFAS has increased awareness of POPs and emphasised the need for improved regulation of chemicals to protect future generations."
Tony Chappel
"Many hazardous chemicals that people recognise tend to cause immediate harm; while they may not persist in the environment long term, their effects can be acute and potentially deadly. In contrast, persistent organic pollutants (POPs) are often less well-known, but their long-lasting presence allows them to continue causing harm well beyond their intended use.
