The writing output of #pirateaba is completely ridiculous for a single person.
Thankfully.

Is there a Fediverse server where authors feel at home and are successful in promoting their work?
It's kind of sad when only centralized platforms are considered by authors

It’s an odd request from me today. I don’t like asking for this kind of help, because it feels disingenuous or silly. I appreciate you reading and talking about the story and your support on Patreon or just as fans, and I don’t want to make you do anything more. However, for the first time […]
I cannot remember where here I found the recommendation for The Wandering Inn LitRPG series, so thank you to all who have tooted about it.
Edited: Author Pirateaba's world is a good balance of horror and slice of life. I no longer think of this as cosy at all.
And the audiobook performer, Andrea Parsneau, is wonderful. I didn't believe she was the only performer at first because her range is incredible.

This is a message about how things are as of 1/25/2025, about America, and the state of things. I don’t write these messages or comment on world events much. I believe I shouldn’t be the person commenting at the end of a chapter about world events and changing how readers see the story; that interferes […]
So here's the thing. I'm a writer myself, and an editor, and I run a small bookshop focused on small press and self published titles. (The Scribbling Lion, if anyone is interested in that last.)
I'm fucking PICKY. I see a number of "problems" with this series on, as I said, a technical level. I'm ITCHING to offer my editing services. At a discount, even. But I won't.
Because it would be ARROGANT of me. And I love the point this series makes as it stands. The example it sets. We all, as writers, need to relax and get tf over ourselves. Focus on telling a ripping good story and realize that while technical perfection is ideal, the bar isn't quite as high as we believe. A great story, well told, allows wiggle room on points like "argh, no, use a comma at the end of that dialogue tag" and "no, that's not the right word, you used a homonym" and so on.
Would I stock it in my bookstore, if it came to print? No. Not as it stands. Not without an technical edit overhaul. But will I recommend reading it? Absolutely.
Read this series. Get back to me on your own thoughts. See if you get addicted too.

It took me about 7 weeks (5 of which were vacation) to read Volume 9 of #TheWanderingInn.
I've got no idea how #Pirateaba keeps that output up, but I am in awe.
