Japan gets closer to making pink hydrogen with a 30MWth high-temperature gas-cooled nuclear test reactor #HTGR feeding 950C heat to thermochemical sulfur-iodine #hydrogen cycle.
After making carbon-free hydrogen, remaining heat will be used in a bottoming cycle for electricity production, water desalination, and district heating.
