Here's a rare board from the collection. This is Bally's Vidiot board and it's used in those very rare hybrid pinball/video-games. I've only seen two titles personally; Baby Pacman and Granny & The Gators.

The thing is extremely hacky build, with basically made of a video game and a pinball game that hate each others' guts and exist in the same cabinet by the power of sheer hate.

I've been hoping for this board to find a worthy rebuild project to resurrect a total loss game some day.

My EM #pinball ownership journey continues. I've become used to the challenges of cleaning and adjusting score reels. Currently I have an issue where the eject on the bonus hole is not firing. I've been practicing tracing paths with my multimeter and reading them on the schematics. The wiring is all 50 years old so the colors listed on the schematic are not much help (all the wires are faded shades of brown now.)

Pinball is 80 years old. Nobody made it truly multiplayer until someone with a 3D printer ignored how it was supposed to work. Constraints ask better questions than roadmaps do.

Last night’s for funsies were different again. Because it was our 700th Wednesday evening’s game night, I made a simplified open for all pingolf round instead of the regular group round. The games that the wheel of random gave us were Fire!, where the goal was 575,000 points, Gay 90s, with 3500 points, Apollo 13, 125 million points, and Road Show, 100 million. The people with the smallest score at the end got points for the regular round. We had a tie between three people, Joonas, Veikka and Riku, but only the first two scored points because Riku isn’t an official partaker due to being kinda sorta staff 😆
For funsies was one handed Contact, which was one of my very first for fun events that I did years ago.
We also had splits, and for that Ari, Riku and myself are available as partners. The winning pair was Joonas and Ari who won against Veikka and Riku by 3 million points. The game was The Mandalorian. I played with Nico and we sucked so bad 😂 only 11 million!
My personal best last night was this Playboy. It’s been a long time since I passed 36 million on it. Got to Mansion Mania during the third Pajama Party.

Our hideout, Hopeakuula Arcade as of May 2026. We've shuffled the machines around a bit to fit Mars Trek in there and in a blink and you miss it-moment there's also the stream machine corner too there now.

For those who don't know us yet, we're a volunteering hobbyist run arcade with a mission to keep pinball alive. We're open to the public once a week on Wednesdays and usually once a month on Saturdays. We also host anything from birthday parties to company get togethers to keep the lights on.
