@glasspusher I believe you're correct, though the "3D-ed-ness" does make me want to reach for both terms. I initially saw it referred to elsewhere as a hologram, but, in another post I hashtagged it with both #hologram and #PersistanceOfVision. (I probably should have edited all the posts.)
