Why talk about period apps? 🤔

I started The Digital Period because I wanted to examine how deeply personal technologies like period tracking apps can shape our lives, our choices, and our sense of self.

These apps aren’t just tools. They’re intimate systems of measurement 📈
They collect data, reflect cultural norms, and often embed assumptions about our bodies and our needs.

In the prologue, I reflect on how this project began and why these conversations are important to reclaim agency in digital spaces.
