While the #pcengine XE-1PC joystick (by Micomsoft) was still on my table I thought I'd open her up and have a look inside. And clean a bit since the Run button was not very responsive. Noticed it had a crack at one of the corners, no biggie though. Some Philips IC love inside. #retrogaming #joystick

Es gibt einen netten #Brook Converter um PS3/4 Controller per USB-Kabel an die #PcEngine mini anzuschließen. Die meisten Games spielen sich mit meinem #Hori Fighting Stick 3 mini nämlich besser als mit dem Pad🤗
Leider funktioniert die V1.6 nicht gemäß Releasenotes mit meinem japanischen MD mini, weshalb ich lieber den Retropie nehme🤔
Das Ding ist EOL, wird aber im Dragon Shop noch verkauft 🕹

Finally made some space in m roo. So I can actually sit again. Wanted to test the #pcengine Duo Monitor (PI-LM1) I got in Taiwan. Unfortunately it doesn't do anything at all. Did start to smell a bit like hot plastic (no smoke) though.

Let's continue with part 3! Alas, #hudsonsoft never released Neutopia III. But before starting 2 I read about a part 3 fan project for Super CD-Rom2. I thought I'd play that next, but now it seems it was never finished or my Google-fu has gotten worse with old age. #pcengine

#hitexploded Neutopia 2, took a bit longer because of life/work. It was a nice playthrough, again not as deep as Zelda, but a fun play anyways. Bosses are nice (look and design as well as gameplay). Used save states (of course). #hudsonsoft #pcengine

Continued on with Neutopia II on the #pcengine after finishing part 1. Right away you can see it has improved gfx, sprites seem a little larger as well. A bit more detail in general. Game-wise more of the same, but more than the previous get medallion from labyrinth x8. #hudsonsoft #arpg

OK, last batch of retro gaming junk for a while I swear. In my defense, I ordered these online last month and it all only just arrived today.

PC Engine controller: So I can finally use a proper controller with my Analogue Duo instead of the USB Genesis-style controller I’ve been using thus far.

Hori Fighting Commander PC: Also a PC Engine controller, but with six buttons. Because of the next game.

Garou Densetsu 2 (PC Engine CD): A.K.A. Fatal Fury 2. Difficult but fun fighting game. I’ve always loved the Fatal Fury series. Some day I’ll get around to playing the new one that came out last year.

Galaga ‘88 (PC Engine): A.K.A. Galaga ‘90. Space shooter. Like the original Galaga, but with even more Galaga.

Puzznic (PC Engine): I did not order this. The shop sent it to me as a gift. Some sort of tile sliding and matching game. Looks all right.

Yu Yu Jinsei (PC Engine): I did not order this either. The shop is just kinda generous I guess. Appears to be based on the board game “The Game of Life”. Remains to be seen whether I’ll understand enough to be able to play it. Oh well; won’t complain about a freebie for my collection.
