Still works! Phew.... Shat my pants just now. Power led turned on but I was not getting any sound. Turned out it takes about 4sec for the relay to switch and as impatient as I was each time I tested I did not wait that long until the 4th time. #retrorevival
Finished replacing all the caps. Almost forgot about the two caps inside the front panel. Will need to update the cap map. But first let's see if it still works... #pcengine #PCエンジン #retrorevival

Made a cap map for the NEC Rom² Stereo Amplifier for #pcengine. Found a cap map by someone else and it had some differences. Maybe there are board revisions? Tried alcohol, contact spray, then even deoxit. Scraped with an x-acto knife, but could not get it to make contact. So then I just jumpered it and got it working. But not until I hooked up the IPS screen. Before that it was giving the dreaded single green led flash when turning on. #psp #retrorevival
