RainI will never forget when before I had a PC and internet I just had a modded PSP 1000 (thank you Attack of the Show) that i would plug into any PC with internet access I could get a hold of to load it with emulators and roms (with a hard 128mb memory card limit until i got a 1GB later on). I do not recall what the #PCEngine emulator was called just that I got it off the now long dead
But what made this emulator so memorable to was that in its rom folder it had something called

soldier.zip and I did not notice until i was at home computer-less that night going over the days bounty. So i booted it up and found out it was the game Soldier Blade from Hudson. At first i was like meh because my uncultured 12 year old self did not care for shooters as I felt they were just Galaga clones. Though I played it anyway and had a blast and still to this day I think that game is what kicked off my special interest in NEC hardware and the vibe they output.
