Ça a définitivement du bon le type #pauper à Magic.

zimpenfishSaw a reel about people comparing the money they've spent on Steam. Checked my numbers - since January 2007, I've spent $2368.11 and played for about 2285 hours. Which is about $1.05/hour playing value and that's pretty cheap (especially considering there's at least a double digit number of games that I've paid for and never played. Whoops.)

christofsteel@estrogenandspite #modern and #pauper #magicthegathering player here (and at times #commander) I started doing tournament reports here, but that kind of died down due to me.. not doing it anymore 😅 (The reports, not the tournaments)

SapphireAs expected, Buu won the event overall. He won games 1 and 3, game 2 was a draw.
He's going to disassemble his deck though, because Voltron Bear just made him The Archenemy and everyone gunned for him immediately.
We did both get promo packs as participation prizes, so that's cool. (There were no prizes for winning, just for being there.)
They may run another #Pauper #Commander event in 4 weeks.
There may also be a regular #EDH Two-Headed-Giant event in 2 weeks, which I am the most excited about. I have high hopes for our chances there.
The #pauper #commander event on Saturday was fun! Most people enjoyed it.
Game 1: I quickly established myself as The Threat so 2 players teamed up to kill me ASAP. I tried to help the 4th player (by not countering his massive life-gain) so maybe he could win, but they took him out after me. The winner thanked me for not getting salty. I said "I play to win, I expect you to too!"
Game 2: pod of 3, one player instantly groked my deck's infinite combo and took down all related cards asap. I still managed to pull off the combo right as time was called!
Game 3: 3 of us were Ping decks. Me and the non-ping deck died first. The 2nd place player in our pod told me how I misplayed & could've survived (or maybe won) if I'd done things differently. Lesson learned!
I think they're gonna do this again in 4 weeks so yay! Imma also get cards for a non-pauper version of this deck b/c it's so fun.
This week's look is inspired by the Kediss/Malcolm deck I'll be playing at the Pauper EDH event this Saturday. I don't have a lot of confidence in my chances with the deck. I've only tested it in one game and got stomped. I've since taken out a couple islands and added a couple mountains, so hopefully the mana base is more favorable this time. But either way, I hope everyone has fun!
