Cactuar JoeAnyway card night was a blast, Veyran popped off with an incredible storm turn that burned two players down from the mid-30s to nothing and then stomped the last player (who was at 56 life) for 25+ commander damage :D
Then I switched to Bumbleflower and my opening hand was Forgotten Ancient, Sol Ring, and Kami of Whispered Hopes -- and we picked up a spare player so this was a 5-player match. By the time I got Bumbleflower out I had like eighteen +1/+1s on Forgotten Ancient, and then topdecked Twenty-Toed Toad. Lesson learned? Bumbleflower doesn't kill by reducing life totals, Bumbleflower kills by destroying enemy morale :P
IcatianJIn an era where people are excoriated in the public square for even minor transgressions, I’m going to choose to forgive Dan Frazier (he copped to it less than an hour ago) for his apparent plagiarism of Marta Nael’s The One Ring. As Dale Carnegie once wrote, “If you are wrong, admit it quickly and emphatically.” He’s done this, and if we can’t accept that we’re facilitating a culture of insatiable grievance. #mtg #magicthegathering
