Die EU-Kommission hatte im März 2017 #Ungarn die Beihilfen für die Erweiterung des etwa 180 Kilometer von Österreich entfernten #AKW genehmigt.
Derzeit sind vier Reaktoren, die in den 1980er Jahren gebaut wurden, auf dem Paks-I-Gelände in Betrieb.
Finanziert wird der Ausbau um die zwei Reaktoren mit einer Leistung von je 1.200 Megawatt hauptsächlich durch einen Kredit in der Höhe von umgerechnet zehn Milliarden Euro von Russland an Ungarn.

Hungary is not even trying to find a European solution to the Russian aggression.

They just stick to Russia.

It's baffling. Even for Orban standards.
