Mondays (and in the case of some people including but not limited to Sam Winchester, Tuesdays) are a bummer, and regrettably, there's nothing I can do about that 🙃. However, what I CAN do is share a happy, sparkly fluid art painting to hopefully brighten your morning 🤗!

This is a Shelee bloom on 10" canvas that I painted a few years ago, and it's still one of my favorites 🥰. I just love working with bright colors, and I feel like this piece really shows that 😊.

It's not Finished Work Friday yet, but I'm once again working on finishing some paintings! With the weather cooling, it takes longer between gloss coats, but on a good day; I can still get at least a couple in before it gets too chilly, breezy, etc 🤗.

These two are six-inch-square gallery-wrapped canvases making them petite but hefty 😜. I actually have around five or six of this size that I'll be adding to my shops ASAP! I just need to wait for an order of hanging hardware to arrive first. If only you could find that stuff in bulk locally 😝. Woe is me lol.

I'm allergic to photos of myself so "the art vs the artist" posts aren't a thing for me 😜. That being said, may I introduce "the art vs the additional art" 😂. So many people believe that fluid art is a waste of paint, but A. it brings joy so it's absolutely NOT a waste and B. a LOT can be done with leftover paint drippings and dried skins 😃!

I spent yesterday evening testing out a tweaked version of my bloom/bloom swipe recipe. It was a bust, but at least I know my poinsettia-inspired, holiday palette looks a'ight 😜.

To test the altered recipe, I included colors from each group of acrylic paints and pigments I work with to see how they'd interact. This includes tube paints from Liquitex and Master's Touch (I no longer support/shop at Hobby Lobby but am still using up old paints from them), dry paints from ColourArte, and pigments from This Little Piggy.

The only difference is that I swapped my 3:1 varnish:distilled water that I use to help thicker mixes become more fluid for a GOLDEN product that I thought looked intriguing. Obviously, it didn't work lol, but at least now I know 😜.

It's also worth mentioning that a few of these testers include a couple of colors mixed with my regular recipe as well, and that did not help the cells form any better. Guess I'm saving the rejects for other pour techniques 🤷‍♀️😝.
