Michael MarekTwenty years ago, we went through a change in which all TVs used for over-the-air reception became obsolete.
The National Association of Broadcasters wants to do it again, to provide superior picture quality, immersive audio, interactive features, etc.
The new system is not backwards compatible to current TVs without a converter box (unless you have already upgraded), like 20 years ago.
The closest stations to me that have already converted are not within reception range, even with a good outdoor antenna.
