I had a good talk with Gemini about the current age rating system on tv (cable and free over the air antenna tv)

My idea was: instead of ratting content specifically off of content, rate it off of the activities characters do in the shows more directly.

Lets take something simple like #ScoobyDoo Where are you.

But in my system it would actually get a tv-pg 14 ratting. Here is why.

Because the crime solving that the mystery Inc are trying to solve on this show or even the franchise as a whole, obviously most kids wouldn't be doing this at this age. So to avoid kids imitating content, or other adult things based on the specific activities alone Scooby Doo would get a tv-pg 14 rating. Not a tv-g rating.

In fact, tone of the article documenting the multiple failings and fading popularity of Dr Phil make him sound like kinda beaten alpha male loser that would go on the Dr Phil show to talk about his many embarrassing #Texas sized probs to Dr Phil

Twenty years ago, we went through a change in which all TVs used for over-the-air reception became obsolete.

The National Association of Broadcasters wants to do it again, to provide superior picture quality, immersive audio, interactive features, etc.

The new system is not backwards compatible to current TVs without a converter box (unless you have already upgraded), like 20 years ago.

The closest stations to me that have already converted are not within reception range, even with a good outdoor antenna.
