Agi: Inchiesta calcio, anche Daniele Orsato sentito come testimone

AGI - Anche Daniele Orsato, riconosciuto come uno dei fuoriclasse dell'arbitraggio mondiale dell'ultimo decennio, all'inizio dell'indagine, quindi lo scorso anno, venne convocato e sentito come persona informata sui fatti nell'inchiesta con cinque indagati che ipotizza il reato di frode sportiva anche per presunte interferenze nelle stanze dove si dirimono i casi di gioco incerti.
Stando a quanto apprende l'AGI da fonti arbitrali, Orsato non si recò mai nella Sala Var di Lissone, scenario dove il pubblico ministero Maurizio Ascione ambienta una parte della sua indagine, e anche di questo avrebbe parlato col magistrato “smarcandosi” così da altre figure che invece, secondo le indagini, l'avrebbero frequentata sia come addetti sia condizionando con le “bussate” le decisioni sui casi dubbi.
La posizione di Orsato
Orsato non andò nella Sala Var né quando era ancora arbitro, fino all'agosto del 2024, né nel ruolo di Commissario per lo sviluppo del talento arbitrale dell'AIA, incarico a cui venne destinato dal gennaio del 2025 con il compito di seguire i giovani fischietti nell'evoluzione delle loro carriere.

According to what the AGI learns from arbitration sources, Orsato never went to the Var Room in Lissone, where the prosecutor Maurizio Ascione sets part of his investigation, and he also spoke with the magistrate to “clear himself” of other figures who, according to the investigations, frequented him as officials and conditioned decisions on doubtful cases with “interruptions.”

Orsato’s Position
Orsato did not go to the Var Room, either when he was still a referee until August 2024, or in his role as Commissioner for the development of refereeing talent at the AIA, a role assigned to him from January 2025 with the task of following the young referees as they evolved in their careers.
