Feel free to lift and use this text to write your MN Republican member of Congress (Stauber, Fischbach, Finstad, Emmer)

1 May 2026
Representative Emmer,

I write to express my dismay and anger at your continued attacks on good public servants of Minnesota, like Governor Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison.

Your attacks are purely political, and are based on grossly exaggerated claims of fraud in the state. No objective journalistic analysis has come close to the $9 billion in fraud that you repeatedly claim. The Star Tribune, which analyzed real data, found on the order of $217 million in fraud.

Furthermore, Minnesota has been aggressively pursuing fraudsters, a fact which you disingenuously ignore.

Furthermore, Republicans have a track record of divestment of public agencies providing basic social services under the myth that the private sector is more efficient. Republicans also have opposed adequate funding for government oversight of public grants to the private sector.

I see through your charade, and I don’t like what I see.

Sincerely,

MB

Letter to my rep:

Representative Emmer,

I am deeply concerned that three of our Members of Congress were denied access to observe ICE operations at the Whipple Federal Building.

I urge you to work with your colleagues on both sides of the aisle, and bring the All Access Act of 2025 (HR 1251) to a vote; resist amendments that would weaken or go against the Bill’s current intent; and VOTE YES!

Congress has a duty to hold the President and the Executive Branch of our government accountable to the laws of the land. I truly hope that you will start to take that responsibility seriously.

Sincerely, MB
