While there is nothing wrong with ovhcloud, it is ultimately a french company.
Now, as a french Canadian, I don't feel so bad about using a french company. They have a few datacenters in Canada, including one in Beauharnois, Quebec.
But I wish I could find a similar company, but that is Quebec-owned, or even Canadian. #quebec #canada
Sure, they are many quebec/canadian web hosting companies, but I have yet to find one that is at the level I would need it to be.
- VPS are too expensive for too few ressources.
- No object storage
- Missing many domain extensions
Since we've been so reliant on the US, I think it shows how behind Canada really is for its #tech .
