Question for my friends in the #eu that work in #tech: which domain registrar and #webhosting / #vps providers would you recommend? I'm wanting to migrate my projects and clients away from #bigtech in the US. I'm currently using #namecheap for domains and #digitalocean for hosting.

Not thinking on doing this right now, but I may consider getting a VPS in the future when my financial situation is stable so I'm asking about experiences and whatnot.

DigitalOcean seems to be reliable and good for new users but at the expense of gouging you value-wise. OVH seems to have much better value but is manual and I've heard of reliability issues.

My plan is to have at least a static site, with the opportunity to move to something like WordPress or Ghost or whatever in the future, as well as host a Bluesky PDS which generally needs 1GB RAM/1 core (idc about your opinions on Bluesky). Maybe a "self-hosted" scrobbler using smth like Koito but IDK yet, Last.fm is doing me pretty cromulently right now.
