today has been wrangling with dependencies for the most part 🫠 and wrangling with aws creds 🙃 and poking where i'm not invited (first time connecting to some new data sources)
Finally got Intellij to run all tests for the project omfg
It wasn't smart enough to search through the whole project, but specifying the "root" project and having it search across module dependencies work.
Integration tests are still separately ran from unit tests, but just configured a Compound runner to get those triggered in one go

had to go back to fkn windows because of ebirforms 
quite slow for a fresh install (already disabled a lot of services and set the display settings to best performance)
but that's nothing new
with how expensive storage is now, i do begrudge the 64gb i gave it (cheaped out and used hdd)
but at least i've got something to use in case i really need a windows app
was tempted to give it more space for steam so i can play games with easy anti-cheat but nahhh with paladins gone, no game tempts me that bad
resumed learning #godot and i've just reached the point where i don't wanna work, i just wanna spend my time learning

Setting env variables in Windows was such a chore lol
Got scared of racking up charges in GCP in case of bandwidth overage. Am using the free-tier VM, but not confident about being able to secure it. Not sure if I'm being paranoid. Budget alerts didn't feel sufficient to me, and the cloud run function does not seem like a fast enough solution:
So I looked for #VPS solutions that don't charge for bandwidth overage or have a large enough bandwidth cap.
Tried #Hetzner -- denied account :(
Considered #Linode -- feels a little expensive compared to others
Considered #OVHCloud -- wanted a lighter, less expensive VM than their starter
Was down to #Netcup (often mentioned in Reddit) VPS nano G11s and #BuyVM SLICE 1024.
Prioritized RAM (2x of BuyVM + 3x storage) so got Netcup despite 6mo lock-in.
Account approved, server set up!
