#Introduction
Since I definitely Am a #Democrat, hopefully I'm welcomed here, lol!
It's Jason Bratcher;
Born totally blind
(retina detached in both eyes);
I'm fairly fluent in Windows (used it since the ME #Mistake/Millennium Edition) in 2000.
I play piano/keyboard as a hobby,
so #Reaper and #SurgeXT get high marks from me.
There is a #Reaper extension called #OSara that uses #NVDA to announce what's happening in #Reaper since I can't Physically See the Interface on the screen.
Boosts appreciated: I'm a #Reaper user, and I think the latest update broke something. Alt + Shift + Left/Right used to move by grid division. In the midi editor, it only moves by beats now, regardless of grid division setting. I heavily depend on the midi editor, so this prevents me from making music entirely. I am using Reaper with #Osara and #NVDA. What's going on here, and how can I fix this? #Blind #Musician #Producer #Music
Something has changed about the installation of #Osara between 2023.1, which is the last time I updated it on my work machine, and now. When I try and install the latest, an error happens when I launch Reaper indicating I should contact my system administrator. Probably some Windows policy thing that I'm not sure I could easily get resolved. Is there a resource that would show me how to just manually put all the components where they belong?
@NVAccess super cool video, was very surprised to see that the two of you are music nerds as well! Also didn't know of #osara until now 🤯
GitHub produced a great mini documentary about my work with @michaeldcurran, @Scott and others to create both #NVDASR and #OSARA.

How NVDA & OSARA are empowering blind people globally - Audio Descriptive Version

This update notification feature in OSARA is just awesome! Makes it much easier to keep it up to date and get a quick overview of the changes. #a11y #REAPER #OSARA
Back with another Reaper newbie question. How exactly do I tell FX where, and when, to apply? I'm using the Voxengo beeper plugin. I created a new track, and added Beeper as an effect. But now, how do I tell it where to apply? I have a very narrow portion of audio I want to sensor. #Reaper #Audio #Osara
Reaper friends: I have a track that I want to lower the volume of gradually, but not to complete silence (roughly 50%). I know about Ctrl+Alt+O, but that fades to complete silence from the cursor to the end of the track. Any suggestions? #Reaper #Osara #Blind #Audio
I have a #blind musician nephew willing to learn more about #Reaper used with #nvda and #osara. However, he lives in Tunisia and mainly speaks Arabic. Is there blind reaper users out there who speaks arabic who could talk with him and help? Or any forum or group where arabic language is used on this topic? Thanks! #a11y #screenreader #accessibility

Hey folks, time for the monthly open Q&A. "I'm Perplexed, What's Next"
This meet-up will happen Saturday 24th June, 8PM UK, 3PM Eastern.
This is the session where you can ask Scott and JennyK questions about #REAPER, #OSARA, or pretty much anything around #accessible recording. Newcomers with questions always get top priority, so drop in and tell us about what's tripping you up. We'll spend a couple of hours helping as many as we can.

As long as there is coffee in the JennyK lair and hopefully a shay holding down the fort on YouTube it will be another great Q&A. :D
Read all the details, find tips and tricks to tweak TeamTalk so it behaves, and more at https://reaperteacher.com
See ya Saturday.
