We call that 'infrastructure,' which is a different understanding to what many hear when we talk about #DPI. Both things are extremely important and exist at the same time. I'm here with my coworkers from the Sovereign Tech Agency @sovtechfund and an amazing group of open source experts, the people who help keep the digital tools and systems we all depend on running smoothly and securely.
Together with Alpha-Omega, we organized the #Maintainathon, a space during the week to focus on the people and projects that maintain open digital infrastructure. This kind of work often happens behind the scenes, but it's absolutely essential. It’s not just about starting something new; it's about keeping what we already rely on safe, stable, and available for everyone
