Ich hab endlich alle CDs nach Flac gerippt, meinen Digital Audio Player ausgegraben und ihm eine 256 GB Speicherkarte gegönnt. 🎧 #notonspotify #fiioM6

Ah, and here's another one #notonspotify : Japanese punk band Cleave's great The Circle EP has an equally great bonus track on the digital version, "Refuse to Fall". As can be seen on Bandcamp: https://creatorcleave.bandcamp.com/album/the-circle-ep

That track is nowhere to be found on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/5OxfUUQ1GOze22cHCOjxcR?si=5Bx41QyvSYK_Yq6jgxsH-w

It's one of the best songs on the EP.

This might be the optimum time to buy CDs.

They are super cheap in second hand shops or eBay, you can find pretty much anything (whereas there's a bunch of stuff that's #notonspotify), and sound quality is well… nearly gold standard (no, most humans can't hear the difference between FLAC 16/44 and FLAC 24/96).

And having them doesn't prevent you from also enjoying the convenience of streaming or/of files (which you can always rebuild from the discs).

I'm glad i never got rid of mine.

Here's something that's #NotOnSpotify: the cult 1999 Fat Wreck Chord compilation Short Music For Short People, "a 101 of your favourite mostly #punk bands doing their own 30 second song", in the words of Dance Hall Crashers singer Karina Deniké.

Which means, by extension, that one of Satanic Surfers's best songs, Another Stale Cartoon, is not there either. Meh.
