Improvement: I've now hidden all V3.5 features of Paketti, from those who download Paketti and run it on Renoise V3.4.4 - a few slipped through the cracks, but now you can boot up V3.4.x Renoise, with Paketti, without running into issues. This is a part of a larger project to make Paketti compatible across previous Renoise versions, and requires a lot of plumbing. Stay tuned for announcement of the end

Busy times… And then I went onto running the 2nd leg of a session on chip music, trackers, and demoscene. Today it was on OctaMED Amiga tracker and Akai sampler. Courtesy of Bizzy B/Brain Records an Equinox/Scientific Wax— underrepresented demoscene figures—haven’t seen them mentioned in journals… it was an attempt to take part in the efforts to give them recognition in my very own way
On another note I have not been very up to date with my lsdj and renoise jams, I am using other tools more actively, even after writing so much about them back in 2019 but I hope to present some of my 4-bit setup here. Or I may not. Who knows… I wonder if there are people who use these things in fediverse, in any style of music. I know some and I would be keen to find out more.

Four new tuning presets based on Christian Lange's research, where the Golden Ratio (Phi) replaces the standard octave as the basis for building musical scales.

Feature: Destructive Clean Render In Place — a variant that does everything Clean Render In Place does, plus strips all DSP devices from the rendered tracks afterwards. Since the effects are now baked into the rendered audio, the original DSP chains are no longer needed.

**Feature: Clean Render Matrix In Place**
You can now do a clean render directly from the Pattern Matrix. Select a block of slots — any combination of tracks and sequence positions — and Paketti will render just those tracks into a single sample, wipe all the original notes, drop a C-4 with the new sample at the start, and delete any instruments that are no longer used anywhere in your song.

Improvement: Clean Render In Place — Two Fixes
Volume now matches the original. Previously, "Clean Render In Place" produced a quieter result compared to Renoise's built-in "Render Selection To Sample." This was because Renoise internally applies a +12dB boost to compensate for track headroom during rendering — and Paketti wasn't doing that. Now it does.
