Lovely afternoon for paddleboarding along the North Tyne; calm and sunny. You can paddle 1.25km upstream from Chollerford before the current deflects you. Then I had a quick swim... it's definitely getting colder! 🥶😂 Only 6 minutes according to my Garmin, and it was beginning to feel chilly!

I don’t know what to call these. #stalagmite #icicles maybe? Vertically ascending icicles formed on a tree branch in the #NorthTyne river as the fast moving water washes over them and a tiny amount freezes each time.
