Their notion of controlling the #escalatory matrix and use of #tacticalnuclearweapons to blunt India’s “#Cold Start’ doctrine went out of the window. Pakistan has suddenly realized that the #space for #conventional ops has widened and its nuclear capability is practically useless. Pakistan is now trying to establish a new nuclear floor on which it can stand. In the meantime there are a lot of #Pakistaninarratives in mainstream and social media about India’s irresponsible behavior. However at a fundamental level it is in #panic that India’s #fullspectrum capability including its conventional #nonnuclear capability will overwhelm Pakistan. One must watch developments as they unfold.

Last month, the city council in Somerville, #Massachusetts passed the first three ordinances defining “family or relationship structure” as a #ProtectedClass, akin to race, gender or sexual orientation. The ordinances also extended specific #AntiDiscrimination protections in police interactions and employment. A fourth ordinance is currently under consideration to bar housing discrimination.
