Another small oddity I notice playing with #LinuxMint 22.3 on its fresh M.2 SSD is the no-break space. I used to have that configured in Keyboard to be "Non-breaking space at the 3rd level," which for me meant hitting CapsLock+Space produced a hard space. That doesn't work now. Nor does trying other possibilities like 2nd level (Shift+Space).
However, since I use Espanso (a text expander), I can fix that indirectly by defining a third-level key in the Typo file to produce a unique character (I let Caps+a be ␠) and having ever-watchful Espanso quickly turn that into a real hard space.
(Note that defining the #NoBreakSpace directly in the Typo file by UTF-16 Encoding has never worked, though it does for other characters. Systems are weird, and one must work around them.)
