NZTA scams are back on the menu. I rarely see any spam these days, but two of these have sneaked through within 24 hours.

However the lack of personalisation is obvious, and while the munted characters in the subject line -- "Fіnаl Ꭱemindеr∶ 48 ᕼo ᥙгѕ tο Ꭱеnew Υоuг Ꭱеցistrаtⅰoո" -- may help to avoid spam filters, they really do scream "SCAM!"

Just got an email from #Flamingo scooters offering 20 mins riding credit for people that complete a survey. Sounds good so far, but the survey they link to is the #NZTA consultation on renewing the declaration of e-Scooters not being motor vehicles. You only get the 20 free mins if you agree that the declaration should be renewed (and take a screenshot of it)

I don't know - it feels somewhat wrong for them to be incentivising certain responses to public consultation. #NZ #Wellington
