#NLDL2024 was fabulous! I've learnt so much in such a short period of time - I'm so glad I attended :D
On the way home now - next week will be digesting everything I've learnt ✨
I could say a lot of good things about it (look out for a blog post once I've organised my thoughts), but just one of them is that it doesn't have multiple tracks, so you don't hafta sort through 100+ talks
10/10 can recommend it as a conference, and seeing the northern lights was cool too!
Having a great time at #NLDL2024! Some really interesting talks on topics as diverse as image segmentation (uncertainty quantification) to new types of image-processing layers (spiking neural network) and more!
I'm learning a lot - so glad I came! So many diverse perspectives and experiences have come together for this conference. Full write-up after the conference as I don't have time to sit downn & write a blog post right now.
The semester has finally ended for me! It was a busy one, but also fulfilling in the work I've got done on my thesis.
Now it be time for my winter Christmas #vacation!
Immediately following that will be the #nldl2024 #conference, so look forward to some posts about that :D

If accepted, this will be my first full academic conference!
It's about a proof of concept using rainfall radar data to predict water depth in 2d. Followers of my PhD update blog post series will remember it as a recurring theme.
