Howdy from the NASP (natl archery in schools program) national tournament in Louisville, KY.
I’ve tooted a few times about how archery has BLOWN UP in Missouri. Seems it has everywhere else, too.
This is half of the targets in the wing we are in. There are three wings of the MASSIVE KY Expo Center dedicated to archery. Rounds are roughly an hour each and run all day. It’s a three-day tournament 🤯 #archery #nasp
You know how I have been saying archery is huge in Missouri? My kid is one of over 13K who qualified for the state archery tournament this year. 🤯 His middle school alone had 72 kids on their team. That’s nuts to me.

Jim JonesMy son, Ranger, competes in high school #archery in the #NASP format. He ranked really well nationally last year & practices year round.
Yesterday in practice, he "Robin Hooded" an arrow by shooting it dead-on with another arrow. The arrows are aluminum, but have a plastic nock that connects to the bow string.
In the first picture, you can see a normal nock. In the second, you can see the nock that was destroyed & the remnants that were pushed into the shaft.
