Why do we name things after old dead guys? I mean, Evans has a bad reputation and doesn't deserve a mountain named after him, but also Mount Blue Sky is a far better name the Mount Evans.
What other 14ers can we rename? I suppose Pike's Peak isn't so because of the alliteration. But Mount Sherman? Boring. Lets rename it to Mount Blucifer as Blucifer does protect us from the alien horde underneath DIA after all.
Iconic Mount Evans, a staple of the Denver skyline, has been officially renamed “Mount Blue Sky.” The new name honors the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes and Mestaa’éhehe coalition, replacing one that evoked oppression and violence.
