The other phone call I've made is to the garage.
We've had an email telling us to book our car in for a service now it's 12 months old.

Except the manual says that servicing is due every 2 years.
I suspect this is a minor #scam on behalf of the main dealers - many people are used to annual services but this is no longer necessary with many EVs.

If we'd have just taken the email at face value, we'd have had to pay for it because the #Motability lease will only cover the correct service intervals.

I've been doom-reading about the changes to the #motability scheme.

Sacha's car is on the #motabilityscheme due to her multiple disabilities and is essential for her wellbeing.

I honestly don't know how much I'm reading is paranoia or is actually going to affect us.

We are in the fortunate position that, if push came to shove, we could afford to go onto a standard lease, but it would take a few sacrifices, and I suspect insurance costs might be high (let alone the stress of the annual renewal dance).

We'll find out when her renewal comes along (assuming the Reform Company don't get elected and they decide to put down the disabled population).

Sigh.

That's me finally ordered the #Kia #EV4 Air trim today, went for blue, the red was a bit too dark. Collection date is 30th June when my current #Motability lease comes to an end on my #Hyundai #Kona.

I'd say if yer on the #MotabilityScheme and able to order yer next vehicle now, get to yer local KIA dealer before Wednesday 1st April, when the advance payment is due to change. Given the popularity o this vehicle, I'm expecting that to increase. Don't forget to give it a test drive!

This year I'm handing back my #Hyundai #Kona #EV as agreed per the #Motability scheme. Been looking for another EV as it meets my needs, even though I don't have a home charger as I live in a first floor flat.

Had a test drive of a #Kia #EV4 yesterday, thanks to #FiskensOfForfar, such beautiful car, had to remind myself that I was in a GT-Line S model & that I won't get all the toys in the Air trim 🙌 Kia removed the GT-Line trim from the scheme yesterday morning. No idea why.
