@ThunderHoney IKEA has some great patterns and colours. I think that their fabrics tend to be on the stiff side, which may have created some trouble for you. I forget which view is which, but I made the longer jacket, with the full-length "collar". There are a number of variations, so it may be different from yours. These aren't great shots, but they show you the ones I made, relatively problem-free.

That looks super cute! And look at you, blending with your lovely curtains! My collars have lain quite flat. I used a sheet for the first version and a poly-cotton for the second, and I wear mine a LOT (lost the first in some café, it seems). I have assorted colours of linen to hopefully make another one sometime soon.
However, I've done a bit of an archaeological dig in my sewing supplies, and there are about 20 projects I have mapped out in my brain. Not only that, but a woman in my sewing group gave me her former wardrobe, all rayon batik. It's all quite wearable for me, but modifications are required for several garments (i.e. #pockets)

The Moss Jacket, version 1. Not bad for a first attempt at a new (to me) pattern. As toiles go, not bad! Lots of learning - first time doing a burrito roll - I love the enclosed yoke! Attaching the collar was not so smooth. I went with the enclosed seams version and I am glad this is a forgiving print. I would like a little more space in the armpit and a little less elsewhere. I'm not exactly the shape of the fit model. The versions I have seen online, the sleeves look straight and mine are bells! Are you all making modifications? Would love to hear them! I have some denim that I have planned to use for a short version of this but I would like to get better at it before I use that fabric so I expect another toile is in order!

That looks great! I wear a #MeMade wardrobe almost exclusively now, and have ventured into quilt-as-you-go, so there may be a quilted #MossJacket somewhere in my future!

I'm super pleased that I not only know what a yoke is now but I can make one for garments that I actually wear. This one is sewn using the "burrito method", an extremely cool way to sandwich a garment between 2 layers of fabric on top.

So, we've been really experiencing *winter* in #YEG but today is a balmy -2. I'm back to #sewing class and doing well with a repeat of the #MossJacket that I made a couple of years ago. I came home early from class yesterday because I couldn't access the PDF instructions on my iPad.
Getting lots of tips for my spring travel to #korea and I've officially got the time off from my p/t WFH job.
I finished watching #TheRedSleeve, a truly fabulous sageuk #kdrama.

I have to sort out my gear and pack my car since I'll be doing 3 #SewDays this week at a sewing shop. Although I occasionally sew a few seams at home, my productivity is far higher when I leave home to sew! I finished a #StasiaDress last week that I'm super happy with so I'll probably cut out another with more thrifted fabric. I also have linen for a second #MossJacket that I'd like to at least cut out. That would mean actually sewing with #GoodFabric! First one went well.
