Spent a lovely Saturday in North Beach SF. Manned the REsearch booth while V. Vale grabbed me a copy of the Meri St. Mary+Monte Cazazza single from his warehouse close by.
Had the pleasure of meeting Monte and Meri around 2015. We lost Monte last year sadly but the legend lives on.

shared a bill in 2015 at #NorCalNoisefest in Sacramento. He performed with his partner Meri St. Mary. He also stood side stage and watched most of my set which wasn't intimidating at all.
We hit it off and met again later when my band played in Nevada City and he and Meri came out. A brilliant and funny individual. #IndustrialMusicForIndustrialPeople #RIP

I've met 2 people in my life who coined terms for entire musical genres. One was 'Metal" Mike Saunders, the other was Monte Cazazza known for his quip #IndustrialMusicForIndustrialPeople which became a defining term for some of the noise coming out of the underground at the time. Sadly Monte has passed away. I was lucky to hang with him a couple times and to share a bill back in 2015 when we both performed at Nor Cal Noisefest. I’ll post that later. RIP.
