AGI - Il Genoa sbanca il Bentegodi e con i gol nella ripresa di Vitinha e Ostigard compie un bel balzo verso la salvezza, inguaiando proprio gli scaligeri, penultimi in classifica a 18 punti quando mancano ormai 9 giornate alla conclusione del campionato.
Grande avvio di partita da parte dei padroni di casa, che dopo soli 3' colpiscono un clamoroso palo su un tiro-cross di Akpa Akpro. La risposta dei rossoblù non si fa attendere, poiché all'8' Ekuban prova a sfruttare l'assist di Vasquez calciando con il mancino, ma Montipò blocca la sfera senza problemi. Dopo un inizio frizzante, le due squadre abbassano leggermente i ritmi di gioco, anche a causa di diversi errori commessi da ambedue le parti.
Al 34', però, Bowie si accende improvvisamente girandosi e calciando verso la porta: Ostigard si oppone e sventa la minaccia. In virtù di questo risultato il Genoa balza a 33 punti in classifica, mentre l'Hellas Verona resta penultimo a quota 18. I liguri venerdì ospiteranno l'Udinese al Ferraris; per i veneti, invece, domenica prossima ci sarà la trasferta della New Balance Arena contro l'Atalanta.
