Here, I am running Nala on my two #raspberrypi units, Aurora and Uppsala, to check on updated packages and installing anything that was updated. I do this, regularly.

I connect to the Raspberries via SSH and then run Nala, a package manager. APT is good. However, Nala is far prettier and it is simplified.

The second pic is a screenshot showing what I see when I first connect to the units. I customized the bashrc file, did some customized ASCII art and modified the prompt to reflect the unit.

It's a little almost like an Ops thing. Of course, anyone that perform actual Ops stuff may disagree. Well, as a home user, there's only so much one can do in a hobby, eh.

The third pic shows my monitor with the Raspberry SSH connections, my ruter and the #MintBook . The MintBook is Linux Mint with a SSH connection via TMUX to the Aurora and Uppsala running the BTOP process monitor (a prettier and more intuitive monitor than HTOP) to show me they are alive and running.

Oh, and that monitor is connected to a KVM switch with switches between my Linux Mint Debian Edition machine and my Windows machine that I perform video editing and play one game.

Not and Ops setup, me arse. Not too shabby.

I retired the #Mintbook from its webcam viewer duties to reduce bandwidth and data usage. In its place, I installed TMUX into GNOME Terminal to allow simultaneous connections to my two #raspberrypi file servers. Then, i installed BTOP, an interactive and graphical system monitor. In use, together, they make it appear like I'm smart or something. I can monitor activity on the Pi units and make sure they're still running.

A quick mini-projeKt, the #Mintbook received a recently acquired Colonial Phoenix decal. So professional-looking!

The final (for now) aesthetic to my

After a successful conversion of an Acer c731 (See previous post) from a #Chromebook into a Linux Mint-based #Mintbook , it joins the router and #RagnarMinestead #raspberrypi bank on a shelf.

The Real Project-Fred graduated high school, this year. This thing was assigned to him as a Chromebook just in April. It is a completely brand new unit and with a new bag (still has its tags). The IT department reported that exiting seniors can keep their assigned Chromebooks. WELL...

He has no need for it. It wasn't even signed into or even powered on. He already has a Chromebook I bought for him some time back and he still uses. He received a gaming laptop as a graduation gift. So, he handed over this thing. School software was blown away and everything #google . Click, here, spraypaint, there. Set up a dedicated webcam connection in North Conway and...

VOILA!

An AnKorage Extra project and not worth doing a video for. HOWEVER...

A recent acquisition of a #Google #Chromebook was subject to a #DIY project where all software related to Google was completely replaced with #LinuxMint . And then, the screen housing got a paint job which is what you see here in addition to a pic showing Linux Mint 20.1 xfce.

The unit is an Acer c731. It is, now what I call a #MintBook. The academic institution is originated from said to keep it and do what you want. It was given to me because it isn't good as a gaming laptop. Well, I had an idea and I know what I'm doing. The institution, likely didn't know just what would be done with the thing.

A recently acquired Acer Chromebook C731 (for free), blew away everything Google about it and was successful installing Linux Mint 20.1 xfce. It's, now, a MintBook!

Ready to paint(why I sanded the top and took out the Chrome sticker.).

I wish it had an Ethernet port to the motherboard.
