BUSTERQuest: Pixelfed Edition
The final modification.
A year, ago, I ordered the crowd-funded campaign of the Hasbro Haslab Plasma Series Spengler Proton Pack for Ghostbusters. Hasbro published that packs would be shipped by Spring of 2023 and they held to that. At the beginning of the year, they began shipping packs out to folks. I received mine in the middle of the month.
Many people had been waiting for these, about a little over 19,000. The are collectors items (they are serialized). Yet, many people felt necessary to modify them which including damaging them, hacking and slashing them to achieve some kind of cosmetic or functional goal. My modifications, however, have caused no damage, whatsoever, as there was no hacking nor slashing. Any parts that were replaced were kept and placed in the box it came in.
The modification presented, here, is a decals placed over the smoky quarts acrylic lens that resides in the power cell box indicator. It's a series of blue lights that light up in sequence and repeat. The decal provides age with some cracks and dirt. It cannot be seen in these pictures, but it's there. These show some of the process to apply the decal.
